So I decided to start blogging to fill you in on what I have been up to. This, I think, is a little better than seeing a few new pictures pop up. And the time I get with my clients is so much more than just a few new posted photos. I am not great about posting onto Facebook. I feel like the last thing anyone wants to see is a rambling amidst the ramblings in their news feed. So if you are interested in what's new with Photography by Anna Coleman, well check here!
As we all know, school as just started. What that means for me is: high school seniors need their photographs taken for the annual, announcements, and wallet photos to hand out to their friends.
This has to be one of my favorite times of the year. I enjoy the enthusiasm of these young adults. There is nothing that makes me feel more accomplished than capturing their uniqueness and spirit. I know that senior pictures have morphed drastically since I had mine done. They are more of an art and a statement.
Anyone that knows me knows I strive to be unique. I embrace individualism and artistic expression. Other than photography, there isn't really anything I feel more passionate about. I don't agree that there are guidelines or technicalities in art. I like to push the bounds and I listen to what your vision is. So if you are reading this, you know you aren't going to get some head shot in front of a solid backdrop. :)
Here are a few photos from this years class of 2014 senior portraits:
This is Miss Katie Sue. She lives on the lake and this was something that was very special and unique to her. We spent some time out on the dock and on her boat to capture images that meant something to her and her family.
This is Miss Gabriela. She has been in ballet and dance her whole life. Why not grab your point shoes and tu-tu and make this about you?? Of course we did! And as you can see, it made for a special and unique moment.
Thanks for reading my first blog. More to come!!!
